“Euphoria Left The Room”

Opening Nov. 21, Scion’s Installation L.A. Gallery presents “Euphoria Left The Room,” a group exhibition curated by Judith Schwarzbart –curator of the Copenhagen Quadrennial: U-TURN, that seeks to question what fragments of avant-garde thinking and visual experimentation are still at work incontemporary art practice. Scion’s 4,500 square foot Installation Gallery in Culver City will host this exhibition,which addresses the fate of creative and visionary imagination, which through the 20th century was set free though a sense of experimentation demonstrated in Sci-Fi literature and film. Since modernism in an aesthetic sense has faded, “Euphoria Left The Room” explores whether those utopian ideas are really dead or whether a visionary spirit can still be found in contemporary art.
